2. General

The protection of your personal data is important to us. This privacy policy informs you how we handle data that arises when you visit this website.

3. Hosting

This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages; our analytics runs on web space provided by netcup GmbH. At both places, requests automatically produce server log files with the technical details customary for that purpose (among them IP address, timestamp and the page requested). They serve the secure operation of the site, are deleted automatically on a regular basis, and are not combined with the analytics data. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in the secure provision of the website).

4. Web Analytics

We want to know which events people are looking for and whether the site is working well. For that we run our own analytics using the open-source software Matomo on our own web space. The data stays there and is not passed on to third parties.

We set no cookies. IP addresses are truncated before they are stored, and the rough location is derived from that truncated address only, so it is correspondingly imprecise. Nobody is recognised beyond an individual session. After 180 days the individual records are deleted automatically; only overall figures remain.

In addition we use Cloudflare Web Analytics. It also works without cookies.

You can object to the analytics at any time. The switch for that is at the end of this page. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in analyzing website usage).

5. Local storage (localStorage)

This website uses your browser localStorage for the color-mode preference (light/dark) and your favorites selection. These data are stored locally on your device only and are not transmitted to any server. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in providing user preferences).

6. External links

This website contains links to external services:

• Google Maps: display of event locations
• Ko-fi: voluntary support of the project
• Organizer websites: links to the original event sources

When you click an external link, the privacy policies of the respective providers apply. We have no influence on their data processing.

7. AI search assistant

This website provides an AI-powered search assistant. When you use the assistant, your input is transmitted to the following third-party providers for processing:

• OpenRouter, Inc. (USA) as API broker — privacy policy
• Google LLC (USA) as AI model provider (Gemini) — privacy policy

Data transfer to the USA takes place on the basis of the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Only your text inputs in the chat are transmitted. No cookies, no IP address, no device or location data. Chat histories are not stored on our servers. Use of the assistant is voluntary. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR (consent through active use).

Text inputs are also recorded anonymized (truncated to max. 200 characters) in our web analytics (Matomo, see section 4) to improve the quality of the assistant.

8. No further collection of personal data

Beyond the cases described in this privacy policy, this website does not collect, store, or process any personal data. There is no registration, no login, and no forms requesting personal data.
